The Murder – “‘Til Death” Review

(Boston Punk, EP): B

June 8th, 2008 – By Barry Thompson

Some punk scenesters accuse the Murder of rehashing a Boston punk formula that emerged in the mid-’90s. Those scenester jerks might be half-right, but how many bands really do more than a few things well? At least on their sophomore EP, “Til Death,” the Murder improves on triumphantly obnoxious, breakneck, grimy punk pandemonium, which they were already quite good at. The only fumble occurs during misguided reggae digressions on “Soundclash.” Download: “Streets of Boston.” (Appearing Saturday at the Midway Cafe.)
